Not for me. However, I get why people like the movie. This movie did make me change my view of James Stewart, who I thought could only play a happy, awe shucks character. He has some range.
"Sueurs froides", réalisé par Alfred Hitchcock, est un chef-d'œuvre du suspense et du thriller psychologique. L'intrigue complexe et captivante, combinée à la direction magistrale de Hitchcock, crée une atmosphère de tension et de mystère palpable tout au long du film. Un de mes Hitchcock préférés superbement interprété par James Stewart en détective acrophobe, d'où le titre original "Vertigo" hanté par la culpabilité. A noter également la prestation de Kim Novak en Carlotta tourmentée.

Scottie, inspecteur de police, a été limogé parce qu'il est sujet au vertige. Un de ses vieux amis le charge de surveiller sa très belle femme, Madeleine, dont le comportement étrange lui fait craindre qu'elle ne se suicide. Scottie la prend en filature, la sauve d'une noyade volontaire puis s'éprend d'elle. Cependant, en raison de sa peur du vide, il ne parvient pas à l'empêcher de se précipiter du haut d'un clocher.
