Spect.Viewers are deeply moved by 'The Help,' praising its portrayal of strong, touching characters and the emotional depth it brings to the civil rights era. The film's blend of humor and drama alongside stellar performances by the cast, particularly Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer, resonates with audiences. However, some feel the film romanticizes the era and simplifies racial tensions, potentially giving a skewed sense of historical accuracy.
👍 Stellar performances and emotional depth.
👎 May oversimplify racial tensions.

Synopsis
Aibileen Clark is a middle-aged African-American maid who has spent her life raising white children and has recently lost her only son; Minny Jackson is an African-American maid who has often offended her employers despite her family's struggles with money and her desperate need for jobs; and Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan is a young white woman who has recently moved back home after graduating college to find out her childhood maid has mysteriously disappeared. These three stories intertwine to explain how life in Jackson, Mississippi revolves around "the help"; yet they are always kept at a certain distance because of racial lines.

Love the courage and determination of Skeeters and those maids. I’m sure it was even worse than that back in a day. Love Minnie’s bold and sassy attitude and how compatible she is with Cecilia. Loved the dresses Skeeters was wearing throughout the movie.
J’ai beaucoup aimé ce film et le fait qu’il y avait plusieurs trames. Les personnages étaient attachants et la fin était bien réalisée.
