Synopsis
In the future, an outbreak of canine flu leads the mayor of a Japanese city to banish all dogs to an island used as a garbage dump. The outcasts must soon embark on an epic journey when a 12-year-old boy arrives on the island to find his beloved pet.

Atari un jeune garçon tente de retrouver son chien Spot, deporté sur l’île aux chiens. Il se lié d’amitié tant bien que mal avec Chief, qui se laisse progressivement faire. Il est indépendant et anarchiste mais ses valeurs se transforment. Résistance dans un régime totalitaire corrompu, qui gouverne par la peur de l’autre et le silence de la science et du journalisme.
